Blaenavon Firm Relaunch International Trade Qualification Platform

Blaenavon based RWA Group have this week successfully upgraded and improved the updated learning platform behind the popular Certified International Trade Advisor (CITA) qualification, accredited by the Institute of Export (IOE) as an Ofqual Awarding Organisation.

Presented exclusively by the IOE, the qualification in international trade independently assesses, improves and verifies the level of international trade expertise and competence of those dealing directly or indirectly with clients trading globally.

Originally launched in 2006 and supported by BarclaysRBS and HSBC, course content will continue to deliver the same up-to-date information – with the added bonus of being tablet and smart-phone friendly thanks to the latest technology.

Andy Nemes, CITA Development Director, added: “CITA remains the foremost accredited certificate within the International Trade arena and, as website design and online learning have advanced in the past seven years, it was vital for us to ensure that CITA continues to be ahead of the game.”

Tom Wood, Director at RWA Group, said: “Updating the interface gives users more choices and enables them to study on a tablet or smart phone while they’re on the move and makes for a much smoother online experience. Following valuable feedback from banks, who continue to be major users of the course, new features of the on-line platform, upgraded by our e-learning team, include an ‘Ask CITA World’ Search Engine and a CPD timer. The online modular course comprises a programme of flexible learning that enables users to progress at their own pace.”

Those undertaking the CITA course will automatically become affiliate members of the IOE – opening up access to a wide range of learning resources and up-to-date expert knowledge of international trade. On completion, they will have the opportunity to further enhance their knowledge by taking one of the IOE’s advanced qualifications and by following IOE Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme.

The CITA enrolment fee is £1,250 which includes all materials and examination costs as well as a year of IOE affiliate membership. For more information about CITA, contact education@export.org.uk.
