According to Wales Online, maker of lightweight children’s bicycles, Frog Bikes, is re-shoring production from the Far East by setting up its first manufacturing facility in the UK in South Wales.
With £1.7m in funding from HSBC and further backing from the Welsh Government, its new factory in Pontypool ,Torfaen, will assemble of wide range of bikes for the UK and European markets.
The new facility will create up to 50 jobs and shift Frog Bikes’ supply chain into the UK for the first time.
The first Frog Bikes made in the UK are due to come off the production line this summer.
