Young Enterprise

Young Enterprise is the UK’s leading enterprise education charity, creating a connected world of young people, business volunteers and educators, inspiring each other to succeed through enterprise. Each year, business volunteers inspire over 250,000 young people aged 4-25. The programmes available empower the next generation with the confidence, ability and ambition to succeed in a rapidly changing global economy.

With the support of more than 3,500 businesses and over 5,000 schools, colleges and local communities, Young Enterprise is helping to inspire the UK’s next generation of enterprising young people.

In Torfaen we recognise the opportunity for economic growth that is presented by our young people. With this in mind, we are supporting the Young Enterprise programme in the Borough, encouraging schools to participate through the use of digital plazas, and working with learning establishments and employers to develop packages that help nurture and attract the best talent for quality jobs.

We want to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship as a career option for young people, linking with our Taste of Enterprise programme to provide real world trading opportunities.

We are pleased to announce that Crowbridge School in Cwmbran recently won the Young Enterprise Regional event and will be representing the area in the All-Wales final in June.
