Cardiff Airport reports a big rise in annual passenger numbers

According to Wales Online,Chairman Roger Lewis said the airport will break even this year. Cardiff Airport saw passenger numbers rise 9% in 2017 and is confident of achieving double digital growth this year.

The Rhoose-based airport, which is wholly-owned by the Welsh Government but is operated by an at arm’s length commercial company, handled 1.46 million in bound and outbound passengers.

The number represents its best performance in eight years.
