Torfaen-based Freight Logistics Solutions scoops 4 awards at prestigious ceremony celebrating Wales start ups

A Cwmbran-based firm has been recognised for the 2nd year in a row at the annual Wales Start-Up Awards held on Friday 21st September.

The awards are the only ones in Wales that recognise businesses less than three years old across all sectors. The event took place at The Depot in Cardiff, hosted by BBC presenter Sian Lloyd.

Against strong competition, Freight Logistics Solutions scooped the coveted award for the best start-up business in Wales as well as three other awards.

Speaking about the firm’s success at the awards, Managing Director Ieuan Rosser said, “I’m really proud that Freight Logistics Solutions won the Best Start-up business of the year last Friday evening, at the Wales Start-up Awards.”

“In addition to winning the overall award, we were also awarded the Global Start-Up, Services Start-Up, and Cardiff Capital Region Start-Up of the Year Awards, which is fantastic recognition of our business performance over its first two years.”

Established in 2016 and based in Llantarnam Park, Cwmbran, Freight Logistics Solutions (FLS)  is fast becoming one of the UK’s leading providers of end to end supply chain solutions. They offer a range of services to suit all freight handling needs for their clients  - from occasional transport usage right though to organisations looking to completely outsource their transport management department.

Ieuan continued “At Freight Logistics Solutions we are striving to support Welsh businesses across all sectors in their UK and global delivery needs, with a key emphasis in improving service and saving money on their logistics requirements.

We are focused on our continued growth plans over the next few years, and already have plans to open a bigger facility to support our growing team by the end of the year. In addition to the new facility we are also in the process of expanding our air and sea freight services and are dedicated in supporting our customers with any Brexit related, import- export demands on their business.

I would like to thank all our staff, for their dedication to the delivery of our services as they are the fundamental factor to our growth, success and the recognition we have received through the Wales Start-up Awards.”

Business Development Manager, Gaynor Wakeling,  at Torfaen Economy & Enterprise, Torfaen County Borough Council said “This is fantastic news for a local Torfaen company. Having provided Freight Logistics Solutions  with support in their set up in 2016  it’s a  real pleasure to see them being recognised  with these accolades now. Well done.  I wish them well  and look forward to providing the team with help and support in the future.”
