Business Networking

Businesses are increasingly using business social networks as a means of growing their circle of business contacts and promoting themselves. In general these local networking meetings allow business people to build up their circle of business partners they know and trust.

We have a varied and active events programme for businesses in the area to attend. These range from free business networking breakfasts to our popular business club Torfaen Business Voice where facilitated networking encourages business to business interaction.

These events provide an opportunity to get to know each others’ businesses through a relaxed structured networking activity and a chance to meet the business development team.

Here is what some of our businesses say about us:

Steve Marsh, The Balloon Experience

We have been members of Torfaen Business Voice for five years and have found it to be a most useful experience. We have attended nearly all the events and found the guest speakers inspiring. We have enjoyed the networking activities which are superbly organised and have again been both useful and interesting. When we first joined we felt that we would be out of our depth, being a small business, but have found that not to be the case. Surprisingly many businesses are just like ours, struggling against a level of competitiveness and financial challenges. It has been refreshing to share experiences and learn from others. Membership represents amazing value for money.

Penny Jarman, Rubin Lewis O’Brien

As long standing members of Torfaen Business Voice this network has seen and supported our firm through major re-branding when we became part of the national QualitySolicitors group some 6 years ago. As testament to the benefits we have gained and the opportunities TBV affords us, by way of brand exposure, new contacts and friends made, we are delighted to remain part of this growing, vibrant and friendly group of local businesses. We would recommend membership to all local companies. We have now taken the decision to revert back to being simply Rubin Lewis O’Brien on 1st February, and know we can count on members support to spread the word.

Kelli Aspland & Laura Griffin,Solar Buddies

Torfaen Business Voice is a great opportunity for likeminded business people to network and build contacts. It has been a fabulous starting networking platform for us at Solar Buddies and to have had the amount of support we've had from local and surrounding businesses has been priceless.  When we joined in 2015 we were a new business with our sights set high but that didn't make the thought of networking any easier, luckily for us all the members were welcoming and very friendly. We had lots of advice from different sectors as there are a wide range of businesses that are members. From web designers to solicitors to estate agents and cake makers! If you need help or advice when it comes to your business I'm sure you'll find it at a TBV event.
