Torfaen cheese business celebrates launch of scrumptious valentine's cheddar

The Blaenafon Cheddar Company, based in Blaenavon, Torfaen has launched a heart shaped cheddar cheese, ‘Mefus a Prosecco’ flavoured with Strawberry and Prosseco, with Valentine’s day and the spirit  of romance in mind.

 This is the latest flavour to emerge from this established, award winning Welsh food and tourism family business based in the heart of the Blaenavon World Heritage Site.

 At the launch which took place at the company’s shop on Blaenavon’s Broad Street on Monday 12th February 2018, Sue Fiander- Woodhouse, owner and Managing Director said  “I’m very proud of my daughter, Charlotte Hill who developed the recipe.  It’s been a fantastic morning.  Thank you to everyone who has come along to support us.  We’re so pleased that ‘Ragsy’ (Gary Ryland) of ‘The Voice’ who has recently released his bilingual new single (Coming up for air/Codi i gael aer) and Russell Jones, Welsh contestant on the X Factor 2017 could both be with us to celebrate.”
